1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you use the Alyte OnCall Driver mobile application (the “App”). The App is developed, hosted, maintained, and technically supported by Agiledge Solutions for Alyte under a custom software service arrangement.
Alyte determines the purposes for which driver and trip operational data is used. Agiledge Solutions processes that data to provide application development, hosting, maintenance, security, and support services in accordance with its agreement with Alyte. Depending on the data and activity, Alyte, your vendor or fleet operator, and Agiledge Solutions may have separate responsibilities under applicable privacy laws.

2. Who this policy applies to
The App is for drivers who are already registered by a transport operator or vendor. It is not a consumer ride-hailing app and it is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
You sign in with a company code, your registered mobile number, and a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. The App does not offer public self-registration.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account and identity
When your profile is created and when you sign in, we process:
- Name, mobile number, email address, city, and address
- Company or tenant code used at login
- OTP sent to your registered mobile number, and the time it was issued
- Login session and access token stored on your device so you stay signed in
- Profile photograph, where one has been uploaded
- Date of birth and blood group, where recorded on your driver profile
3.2 Licence, identity, and fitness documents
Your operator may store the following on your driver profile so you can be assigned trips. The App may display related status. These records can include:
- Driving licence number, validity, vehicle classes, and licence image
- Government identity type, identity number, and identity document image
- Background verification, police verification, and medical fitness status, dates, and supporting documents
- EPF number, where provided by your employer or vendor
Licence, government identity, and verification documents are sensitive personal data. They are used to confirm that you are authorised to drive and to meet transport and customer safety requirements.
3.3 Precise location
While you are signed in and a trip or duty is in progress, the App collects precise location from your device GPS, including:
- Latitude and longitude
- Speed and elevation, where the device provides them
- The time of each location reading
- Trip status, vehicle number, and a device identifier (your registered mobile number, or a locally generated identifier if the number is not available)
Location is read when you start or move through a duty (including garage start and garage end) and is sent while the trip is live, including if the App is in the background during that trip, so the passenger and the transport desk can see the vehicle. Readings are sent about every 10 seconds when you move, and at least every 30 seconds as a heartbeat.
We stop live location collection when the trip is closed or you log out. We do not collect location for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.
The App also uses location to show your position on a map and to request driving directions between you and the pickup or drop point. Map tiles and route requests are processed by Google Maps.
3.4 Trip and duty information
For each assigned trip we process:
- Trip code, schedule, pickup and drop addresses, and trip status
- Vehicle number and assignment details
- Passenger name and mobile number, so you can reach the passenger for that trip by phone or WhatsApp
- Odometer readings (start, end, garage start, garage end)
- Parking, toll, state tax, fuel, and other expense amounts
- Photographs or files of the duty slip and of expense bills, taken with the camera or chosen from your device
- Passenger feedback rating, comments, and signature image
- Your confirmation that the trip details are accurate
3.5 Device and notifications
- Firebase Cloud Messaging token, so we can send trip and duty notifications to this device
- App version and operating-system version
- A device identifier used with live tracking, as described above
Push notifications cover trip allocation, changes, acceptance, and operational updates. You can turn notifications off in your device settings; trip assignment may then depend on you opening the App.
3.6 Information we do not collect for our own use
- We do not ask you to create a public social profile.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use personal data for third-party advertising.
- If you call a passenger or open WhatsApp from the App, the call or chat is handled by your phone or by WhatsApp. We do not receive the contents of that call or chat.
- Payment card numbers are not collected in the driver App.
4. How we use information
Alyte and its authorized transport operators use personal data for the following purposes, while Agiledge Solutions provides the technical services needed to support these activities:
- Confirm that your mobile number is registered and sign you in with an OTP
- Show assigned trips and let you accept, start, pause, resume, and close a duty
- Share live vehicle position with the transport desk and with the passenger for that trip
- Show maps and driving directions
- Record duty slips, kilometres, expenses, feedback, and signatures for billing and audit
- Send SMS OTPs and push notifications about your duties
- Let you contact the passenger for the assigned trip
- Check licence and safety compliance required by the operator or customer
- Investigate safety incidents, disputes, and misuse
- Meet tax, transport, and other legal duties
- Keep the App secure and understand failures through operational logs
5. Legal basis
Personal data must be processed in accordance with applicable data-protection law and the roles agreed between Alyte and Agiledge Solutions. Depending on the processing activity, the applicable basis may include consent, performance of operational or contractual duties, or legal obligations:
- Consent, including when you allow location, camera, photos, or notifications, and when you submit a duty slip, photo, or signature
- Employment and contract, because the App is used to perform driving duties assigned by your vendor or transport operator and by the customer who booked the trip
- Legal obligation, including safety, tax, and record-keeping duties
- Legitimate use for security, fraud prevention, and resolving disputes about a completed trip
You can withdraw permission for location, camera, photos, or notifications in your device settings. If location is off during an active trip, live tracking and some duty steps cannot be completed.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal data only as needed to operate trips:
| Recipient | What is shared and why |
|---|---|
| Your vendor or fleet operator | Driver profile, trip status, location during the trip, duty slip, expenses, and compliance documents, so they can allocate and supervise duties. |
| Customer company for the trip | Driver name, mobile number, vehicle number, trip status, and live location for the booked journey. |
| Passenger | Driver name, mobile number, vehicle number, and live tracking for that trip. You receive the passenger’s name and mobile number for the same trip. |
| SMS provider | Your mobile number and the OTP or trip message, so the SMS can be delivered. |
| Google Firebase | Push-notification token and notification content (trip updates). Google’s privacy policy applies to Firebase Cloud Messaging. |
| Google Maps | Location coordinates sent to request map display and driving directions. |
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting of the service and storage of images and documents (duty slips, bills, signatures, and driver documents). Storage used for these files is in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region. |
| Authorities | Where required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the safety of a passenger, driver, or the public. |
We do not sell or rent personal data.
7. App permissions
| Permission | Why the App uses it |
|---|---|
| Precise location (including while a trip is in progress and the App is in the background) | Live vehicle tracking, garage and trip mileage points, on-map position, and driving directions. |
| Camera | Photograph the duty slip and expense bills. |
| Photos / files | Attach an existing image or file of a duty slip or bill. |
| Notifications | Alert you to new or updated trips. |
| Phone | Open the dialer when you choose to call the passenger. We do not record calls. |
| Internet | Sign-in, trip updates, location upload, and file upload. |
8. How long we keep information
- OTP: kept only until it is used or it expires, then discarded.
- Session token: kept on your device until you log out or the session expires. Logging out clears local session data.
- Live location: kept with the trip record for operational review, passenger support, and dispute handling.
- Trip, duty-slip, expense, feedback, and signature records: kept for invoicing, audit, and tax compliance, and for as long as applicable law requires.
- Licence, identity, and verification documents: kept while your driver profile is active and afterwards for the period required by transport, employment, and safety rules.
- Notification token: kept while you use the App, replaced when it changes, and removed when your profile is deactivated.
When a retention period ends, we delete or anonymise the data, unless we must keep it for a legal claim or a legal duty.
9. Security
We protect personal data with access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the App and our servers, and restricted access to driver documents and trip files. OTP login is limited to a mobile number that is already registered for a company. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please protect your device with a screen lock and do not share OTPs.
10. Data deletion requests
To request deletion of your driver account or associated personal data, email hello@agiledgesolutions.com with the subject line “Alyte OnCall Driver Data Deletion Request”, or contact your transport operator or vendor. Include your name, registered mobile number, and company code so the request can be verified. We will coordinate with Alyte and/or the relevant operator, as appropriate, and process the request within the applicable legal timeframe.
Some trip, billing, safety, tax, or dispute records may need to be retained where required or permitted by law or under applicable contractual obligations. Where deletion cannot be completed immediately, the request will be handled in accordance with those obligations.
11. Your choices and rights
Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request to:
- Access personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase personal data, where we are not required to keep it
- Withdraw consent for an optional permission
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so
- Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied
Driver accounts are created by your transport operator or vendor, not by public sign-up inside the App. To ask for access, correction, or deletion, email hello@agiledgesolutions.com or ask your operator to raise the request. Include your name, registered mobile number, and company code. We may forward the request to Alyte or the relevant operator when they are responsible for the requested action.
We will respond within the time required by law. We may need to confirm your identity. Trip and billing records, and documents we must keep for safety or tax, may be retained even after a deletion request. If your profile is deactivated, you will no longer be able to sign in.
12. Children
The App is for adult professional drivers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will delete that data.
13. International processing
We store application data and uploaded files in India (AWS Asia Pacific, Mumbai). Google Maps and Firebase Cloud Messaging are services provided by Google and may process device and notification data under Google’s terms. We do not transfer personal data outside India except where a service provider named in this policy processes it to deliver maps, notifications, or SMS.
14. Changes to this policy
Agiledge Solutions and/or Alyte may update this policy to reflect changes to the App, data practices, or legal requirements. The new version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use precise location or other sensitive data, we will also provide a notice in the App or through your operator. Continued use of the App after the effective date means the updated policy applies.
15. Grievance Officer
For privacy or grievance requests, contact hello@agiledgesolutions.com or call 080-2343 2343. Please use the subject line “Alyte OnCall Driver privacy grievance”. We will route the request to the appropriate responsible party and respond within the period required by applicable law.
